Our students do a great deal of fundraising throughout the year. The year starts with chocolate sales. Almonds, caramels, and boxes of mixed are sold throughout the community. The monies earned go towards field tirps and special events. The Terry Fox Run is held at the end of September with the children running on the path. The money raised goes to the Terry Fox Foundation. Christian Education Week is held in April with each grade challenging the others to raise money. Half of the money raised goes to a school in the Dominican Republic and the other half goes towards the development of Christian curriculum materials. We do Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart each year to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The children and families participate in Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection for the Samaritian's Purse organization in late October and November. Once a month we hold a collection for our World Vision adopted child Ariel. Ariel lives in Bolivia. |
