Language Arts instruction at Rocky Christian School reflects the reality that language is a gift from God. Language is one of God’s gifts which makes humans unique in His creation. Language is used to communicate effectively with God and other people. Understanding is developed through listening and reading skills. Speaking and writing enable students to clearly and honestly express ideas and beliefs.

A varied use of literature opens up a stimulating world full of experiences seen through the eyes and hearts of many writers. Reflection on these gives rise to discussions with regards to authors’ worldviews and how they fit with a Christian understanding of the sovereignty of God.
